#ScottishWatches Week 24

Welcome back for another roundup of last week’s watch photography greatest hits. I’m glad to see that you were all able to pull yourself away from the excitement of nil-nil Scotland/England football festivities and still get your photographic homework done. Let’s take a look, shall we?

First up this week is @dr.day.date with an excellent wrist shot of the Doxa Sub 300T Professional on a mesh strap. One cannot go wrong with the orange and teal look when the orange is Doxa orange, I always say.

Next up is @donrogan with this very cool, highly-processed shot of the best two Omegas, the Speedy and the PloProf, doing their laundry in what almost looks like a Norman Rockell painting. Check out their IG for lots of great, creative shots like this one, good stuff.

Time & Tide’s @zach.blass has transformed the Doxa Sub 300 Carbon Lung LE from a serious dive watch into a preppy, Nadal-esqe, Aruban tennis watch. I would normally call foul on a heinous offence like this, but it really does just work. Maybe these Doxas are more versatile than I think…

Next is @flybackwatches with this lovely shot of a very cool watch. @amsterdam_watch_company teamed up with Squale last year to build some new watches out of NOS 1960s Blancpain Fifty Fathoms cases. A very cool idea that resulted in a very cool watch indeed. I was fortunate enough to wear one of these for an evening when they first shipped and it is an ultra-fun, vintage 35mm diver.

Next we have @girlslikewatchestoo with an awesome series of shots of the chunky Zelos Hammerhead (I think?) paired with a yellow ISOFrane strap and a yellow jacket. Black and yellow is one of the best combos there is if you ask me, making this one a big winner. Now the song that goes “black and yellow black and yellow black and yellow black and yellow” is stuck in my head, thanks for that!

The Casio Rangeman is one of the toughest watches around and @subparwatchenthusiast has captured it in the gym, bulking up and crushing beer cans, getting ready for the next strongman competition. Standard tough guy behaviour.

The recent Worn and Wound X Zodiac Watches collaboration was a cool Super Sea Wolf LE inspired by 90s fashion and outdoor sneakers and looked like an excellent summertime watch. @timeeq agreed and took it out for the classic outdoor activity of drinking beer outside.

We always like to see watches out in the wild, being used and abused in their natural element, so thank @horology_fan_switzerland for this sweet wrist shot of the IWC Aquatimer out swimming in a mountainous lake. Just excellent.

That’s all for this week. Remember to keep tagging all your splendid photos with #ScottishWatches to have your hours of hard photographic work featured right here, week after week. Until next time…
