Welcome, welcome, welcome to the Scottish watches podcast, episode 225.
Rick has phased back into existence in the Scottish Watches multiverse, bringing his iconic intro back, which he came up with by copying and pasting from Dara O’Brien.
We all know heis going to be very proud if he listens to the podcast. From the Daytona that had a Zenith movement to now Zenith launching a watch with their movement but looks just like a Daytona. It has gone full circle. We also go through a Scottish Watches Watches Watches section going through a few the old movies Rikki watched this past weekend, pointing out the watch content and the bad Irish accent of Sean Connery.
Bulgari has released the Octo Finissimo S Chronograph GMT Automatic with, tempting Rikki’s pounds to escape his bank account. Hublot has also released a good amount of really cool watches, but before getting them you’ll need to sell more than just your kidneys. Pay attention to when we talk about the Hublot Big Bang MP-11 Magic Gold, there well be a math quiz at the end.
The United States President gets a bit fancier on his special day. Biden here seen wearing a Rolex Datejust, in steel, with a blue dial, on a jubilee bracelet. Ruining Ricks credibility.
Last week’s episode where we talk about the discontinuation of the Patek Phillip 5711.

Got into the horological hobby only a few short years ago; but got, as us Scots like to say, “baw deep” pretty quickly. Thanks to buying a lemon of a Rolex he spent hours researching why his watch wasn’t working and along the way gained an interest in what makes them tick. He now runs the Scottish Watches website and keeps cohort Rick in check on the twice weekly Scottish Watches podcast.
