Welcome to episode 23 of the Scottish Watches Podcast. This time we’ve gone international!

Rikki flew across to Switzerland for the second time in a week (no joke) to this year’s Baselworld Watch and Jewellery show for his third visit. The event was incredible as always but more so this year as the organisers have opened things up more for the public and the brands have given far better access to not only the press, bloggers and media but also the average Joe who wants to come along and check things out.

The Scottish Watches Tartan Army was 4 strong again this time for our second Swiss trip of 2019 and with Rikki, Jon, Issac and Chris the Saltire was flown proudly even managing to take over the Zenith High Frequency party ending up on stage behind the decks with Swizz Beatz, Lost Frequencies and Zenith Watch CEO Julien Tornare. Rikki was upset he wasnt allowed to play Bits & Pieces though.

We also got a chance to sit down with Adrian from Bark & Jack after all the fun and games and recording a podcast covering his thoughts as a Basel virgin, what it’s like for someone who has never been before, what his expectations were and how the show went.

Rolex, Tudor, Patek, Zenith, Oris and tons of other brands and releases get discussed and we do a 101 on the Bark & Jack channel and where the watch scene is heading.

So check it out either here on the website or via your podcast player of choice – we’re almost everywhere and be sure to check back here over the coming weeks as we drop our thoughts, views and photos for you to check out!
