We’re “officially” 1 month old – and what a month it’s been!
This very website launched to the public on the 11th of January and we have been blown away with the response it’s received from everyone, thank you so much for your comments, feedback and most importantly help!
The plan from inception was to create a place for people in Scotland who are interested in the hobby of horology, watch collecting and everything in that realm to be able to come together and share ideas, thoughts and build a community – and we’re on the right track.
By pure accident we started the Scottish Watches podcast along the way and in under a month, somehow, have managed to plan, record and edit 11 episodes which is kind of mind boggling in itself.
The amount of amazing people who have got in touch to help out with interviews, articles, photos and much more has also been staggering and shows that there genuinely is a thriving community here in Scotland.
So we’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has visited our Instagram, read our website and listened to our podcasts.
We’re really excited for what the future holds and we want you to be a part of things too. So just as we’ve talked to and met so many people in the past month, we want to give a platform for others to tell their story, talk about their hobby and bring that to an audience that is just as interested and passionate as we are. To get in touch just click HERE or DM us via our Instagram account.
Thank you for being a part of month 1 – let’s see what we can do together in year 1!
Got into the horological hobby only a few short years ago; but got, as us Scots like to say, “baw deep” pretty quickly. Thanks to buying a lemon of a Rolex he spent hours researching why his watch wasn’t working and along the way gained an interest in what makes them tick. He now runs the Scottish Watches website and keeps cohort Rick in check on the twice weekly Scottish Watches podcast.
