Welcome to the Scottish Watches Podcast – Episode 325! How can nano coating be used in watches? Todays two brand interviews from Dubai Watch Week will give us the answer. First, we were joined by Oliver Ebstein CEO of Chronoswiss. We talked about their releases during DWW and their extensive use of color, in the form of nano coatings, to decorate cases, dials, and movements. Then, after talking about Moritz Grossmann for so long, we finally caught up with Christine Hutter – founder and CEO.

Our main topic of conversation was their DWW release of the BACKPAGE Blue. The making of the watch involved flipping the backside of the movement, coated in deep blue hue, to the dial side, which is more complicated than it sounds.
