Welcome to the Scottish Watches Podcast – Episode 300!
To celebrate reaching the milestone of 300 shows the stars aligned and an idea we had in the works for more than half a year started to take shape. That lead to us recording what we believe is one of our best shows ever, where we speak exclusively with Gerald Genta’s daughter Alexia and wife Evelyne to celebrate the life of a man who we believe has shaped the watch industry and community as it stands today.
From a tough childhood, the character of Gerald Genta was created: passionate, creative, brilliant, headstrong, with very good pick-up lines, and much more. Discover the legend, from the people who were around him most.
These never told before stories will give some insight into the life of the person who changed the industry through his craftsmanship and designs, creating the future classics of the most influential and prestigious brands such as Audemars Piguet and Patek Philippe.
Join us as we celebrate our 300th episode and the life of the Maestro.

We would like to thank Alexia and Evelyne for their time and assistance in producing this show and helping us celebrate our 300th episode.
The hour we spent talking was one of the best we’ve had the pleasure of recording in our history and we owe them a great debt of gratitude.

Got into the horological hobby only a few short years ago; but got, as us Scots like to say, “baw deep” pretty quickly. Thanks to buying a lemon of a Rolex he spent hours researching why his watch wasn’t working and along the way gained an interest in what makes them tick. He now runs the Scottish Watches website and keeps cohort Rick in check on the twice weekly Scottish Watches podcast.
